Castle Beach Club · #1135

Castle Beach Club at 5445 Collins Avenue is an oceanfront condo-hotel on Millionaire's Row in Mid-Beach, Miami Beach. Completed in 1966 and recorded as Castle Beach Club Condo, the high-rise runs as a resort with a front desk, restaurant and pool deck, while each unit is individually owned. It is best known among Mid-Beach condos as one of the few oceanfront buildings where daily rentals are allowed. With about 547 residential units in Miami-Dade Property Appraiser records, it is one of the largest condominiums on this stretch of Collins Avenue. Most are hotel-style studios with kitchenettes, typically about 260 to 510 square feet in MLS records, many with balconies and ocean or bay views. The building also has 66 one-bedroom units, a small number of two-bedroom homes, two-story oceanfront residences of about 1,860 to 2,070 square feet on the P line, seven beachfront townhomes with terraces facing the pool and ocean, and top-floor suites with views over Biscayne Bay to Downtown Miami. Poolside cabana units with a bath and kitchenette are also sold separately. Resort amenities include a heated oceanfront pool and sun deck, a poolside tiki bar, the on-site restaurant LOLA, a market and shops, a spa with a Turkish bath, a sauna and jacuzzi, a fitness center, tennis and racquetball courts, a billiards room, a ballroom and a residents' lounge, plus laundry facilities and beach service with umbrellas, towels and cabanas. A 24-hour front desk and security handle check-in, and valet parking for one car is included. Monthly fees typically cover electricity, water, cable TV and internet. Castle Beach Club condos for sale appeal to short-term rental investors: most MLS listings mark daily rentals as allowed with no minimum stay, and owners can self-manage, use an outside operator or use the on-site rental agency. Listings note that Miami Beach and State of Florida licenses are required for short-term rentals. Pet rules are restrictive; listings variously report no pets or a 20-pound limit. The building sits on the beach and boardwalk near 54th Street, a short drive from Surfside, Bal Harbour Shops and the Fontainebleau. Listings report impact-resistant windows and a completed 40-year recertification. As of October 2026, 31 units were listed for sale from about $125,000 to $4.25 million and seven were offered for rent at $2,499 to $3,200 a month, and five sales closed in the prior 12 months from $215,000 to $350,000.
