Alaqua · #135

Alaqua is a seven-story boutique condominium at 3001 NE 185th Street in Aventura, completed in 2007. The mid-rise Alaqua building holds 193 residences laid out across one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from approximately 900 to 1,900 square feet, with split-bedroom layouts in the larger lines. Units feature open kitchens with granite or quartz counters, stainless appliances, marble or porcelain flooring, deep balconies, walk-in closets, and en-suite primary baths. The lower-density site allows for a more landscaped pool deck and quieter common areas than the high-rise towers along Country Club Drive, and several units include garden-level or pool-deck access. The Alaqua building sits inside Aventura's residential core on NE 185th Street, two blocks east of Biscayne Boulevard and roughly half a mile west of Aventura Mall. The 2.4-million-square-foot mall, the Aventura Brightline station that connects to Downtown Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando, Whole Foods, the Promenade Shops, and the Aventura Circle walking path are all within a one-mile radius. Don Soffer Aventura High School and Aventura Hospital sit within walking distance, the Village at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach is about three miles north, Sunny Isles Beach and the Atlantic beaches are three miles east across the William Lehman Causeway, and Bal Harbour Shops is roughly fifteen minutes south on Collins Avenue. The Aventura Mall area is one of the most walkable retail corridors in South Florida, and Alaqua residents typically use the building as a base for car-free errands. Residents of Alaqua share a heated swimming pool with sundeck and cabanas, a hot tub, a fitness center, a clubroom with billiards, a business center, a children's playroom, a barbecue area, and covered parking. The Alaqua complex offers a concierge, on-site management, gated entry, 24-hour security, and pet-friendly policies that accommodate dogs of most sizes. Guest parking is plentiful, and the building includes bicycle storage and additional storage lockers for owner use. The boutique scale keeps common areas relatively private compared with the larger high-rises along Country Club Drive a mile to the east.
