Commodore Club West · #702

Commodore Club West is a 12-story oceanfront condominium at 155 Ocean Lane Drive on the northern beachfront of Key Biscayne, the gated barrier-island village reached from Brickell via the Rickenbacker Causeway. Completed in 1973 to designs by Marchesani and Cohen, Commodore Club West is the second of three sister towers in the Commodore Club community, sequenced with Commodore Club East (1971) and Commodore Club South (1974). The tower holds 187 residences arranged as studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom plans from roughly 895 to 1,930 square feet, with private balconies opening to the Atlantic, Biscayne Bay, the downtown Miami skyline, or the landscaped Commodore Club grounds. The Ocean Lane Drive address places Commodore Club West directly on the Atlantic with a wide stretch of private beach and a quiet, residential block away from the Crandon Boulevard high-rises. Crandon Park, the Crandon Park Tennis Center that long hosted the Miami Open, and the Crandon Park Marina sit at the north edge of the island. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, the 1825 Cape Florida Lighthouse, the Key Biscayne Yacht Club, and the Village of Key Biscayne shops along Crandon Boulevard are all within a short walk or drive. The Rickenbacker Causeway delivers residents to Brickell, Coral Gables, Downtown Miami, and Miami International Airport in 15 to 25 minutes. Commodore Club West residences typically feature open layouts, deep balconies, walls of glass, and in-unit washer and dryer connections, with many homes thoroughly renovated. The community amenity package is anchored by a heated oceanfront pool with direct beach access, four shared tennis courts, a fitness center, his-and-hers saunas, a party and social room, BBQ areas, and kayak, paddleboard, and bicycle storage. Service at Commodore Club West includes 24-hour manned security at the gatehouse and lobby, a gated entry, on-site management, valet-friendly drop-off, a vehicle wash bay, and covered assigned parking, making this one of the most attainable oceanfront condominium addresses on Key Biscayne for families and second-home buyers.
