Jade Ocean · #1007

Jade Ocean rises 50 stories at 17121 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, a Carlos Ott-designed oceanfront tower developed by Fortune International Group and completed in 2009. The third building in Fortune's Jade collection (after Jade Brickell and Jade Beach), Jade Ocean holds 252 residences in one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts plus penthouses, with floor-to-ceiling glass, deep wraparound terraces and a glass-bottom infinity pool that flows visually from the ocean side through to the city side of the tower. The Jade Ocean floor plans range from approximately 1,400 square feet for one-bedrooms to more than 4,000 square feet for the larger three-bedroom corner units, with several stacked penthouse layouts at the top. The Collins 17000s site sits at the heart of the Sunny Isles luxury corridor, with Pier Park and Newport Pier a short walk south and Acqualina Resort & Spa, Estates at Acqualina and Mansions at Acqualina immediately to the north. Bal Harbour Shops is a 5-minute drive south, the Aventura Mall and Brightline Aventura station are roughly 15 minutes north via the William Lehman Causeway, and Haulover Park and Haulover Inlet sit just south of Bal Harbour for residents who fish or run boats. The Sunny Isles oceanfront walking path runs directly in front of Jade Ocean and connects north to the wider Collins promenade. Jade Ocean's amenity program is anchored by a six-story cascading waterfall at the entrance and a pair of infinity-edge pools -- one ocean-facing, one city-facing -- connected through the deck. Residents have access to a private beach club with cabana service, a spa with treatment rooms and sauna, an oceanfront restaurant, a state-of-the-art health club, a private theater, a children's playroom and splash deck, a business center and 24-hour concierge, valet and security. Inside the residences, Jade Ocean delivers private elevator foyers, smart-home pre-wiring, Italian kitchens with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, marble bathrooms and ten-foot ceilings. Among the post-2008 Sunny Isles towers, Jade Ocean is the building most often cited for its architecture-forward design -- a Carlos Ott signature in a stretch otherwise dominated by Sieger Suarez and Arquitectonica.
