Commodore Club South · #206

Commodore Club South is a 12-story oceanfront condominium at 199 Ocean Lane Drive on Key Biscayne, the southernmost and newest of the three towers that make up the Commodore Club community alongside Commodore Club East at 155 Ocean Lane Drive and Commodore Club West at 177 Ocean Lane Drive. Commodore Club South was completed in 1974 with architecture by Marchesani and Cohen, housing roughly 181 to 185 residences in studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom layouts that range from about 895 square feet for one-bedroom homes to 2,825 square feet for the largest four-bedroom plans. Many Commodore Club South units have been renovated over the years, with stainless steel appliance packages and in-residence washer and dryer pairings now standard. The Commodore Club South parcel sits on Ocean Lane Drive directly between Crandon Park to the north and the Village of Key Biscayne to the south, with a private beach pavilion on the Atlantic side and the Commodore Club tennis center inside the gated grounds. The Rickenbacker Causeway connects Ocean Lane Drive to Brickell, Coral Gables, Downtown Miami, Miami International Airport and Miami Beach within fifteen to twenty minutes by car, and Crandon Park's golf course, beach and Crandon Tennis Center are a short walk along the spine of Crandon Boulevard. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park anchors the south end of the island. Residences at Commodore Club South all carry spacious private balconies framing the Atlantic, Biscayne Bay, the Miami skyline or the tropical pool deck shared with the sister Commodore Club towers. The Commodore Club community amenity program includes a heated oceanfront swimming pool with direct sand access, four community tennis courts, a fitness center, men's and women's saunas, a residents' party and community room, manicured tropical gardens, a vehicle wash bay, covered parking and 24-hour manned security at both the building lobby and the gatehouse, plus a rooftop terrace at Commodore Club South with panoramic views across the island.
