Commodore Club East · #807

Commodore Club East is a 12-story oceanfront condominium at 177 Ocean Lane Drive on the northern Atlantic shore of Key Biscayne, completed in 1971 as the first of three sister towers in the Commodore Club community (followed by West in 1973 and South in 1974). Commodore Club East holds approximately 186 residences arranged as one- to four-bedroom plans from 840 to 2,100 square feet with an average home of roughly 1,262 square feet, each opening through private balconies to Atlantic Ocean, Biscayne Bay, downtown Miami skyline, or tropical-grounds orientations. The building is widely cited as the closest residence to the beach on Key Biscayne and shares a wide private beach with the rest of the Commodore Club complex. The Ocean Lane Drive address borders the subtropical landscape of Crandon Park and the broad sand of Crandon Park Beach, with Crandon Park Beach, the Crandon Park Tennis Center (long the host site of the Miami Open), and the Crandon Park Marina at the north edge of the island. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park and the 1825 Cape Florida Lighthouse, the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade, sit at the south tip, with Stiltsville visible in the bay. The Village of Key Biscayne shops along Crandon Boulevard, the Miami Seaquarium on Virginia Key, and the Rickenbacker Causeway to Brickell and Downtown Miami are all within easy reach. Commodore Club East residences typically run on solid mid-century plates with floor-to-ceiling glass, generous private balconies, and oversized floor plans relative to new construction. Shared amenities are anchored by a heated oceanfront pool dedicated to the East tower with direct beach access, four tennis courts shared across the complex, a fitness center, saunas, a multi-purpose party room, and a business center. Service at Commodore Club East includes 24-hour manned security at the lobby and gatehouse, gated entry, on-site management, concierge, manicured tropical gardens, a vehicle wash bay, and covered parking, keeping the building among the most attainable family-oriented oceanfront condominium addresses on Key Biscayne.
