Grove Towers · #5A

Grove Towers is an established 18-story condominium at 2843 South Bayshore Drive in Coconut Grove, completed in 1982. The Grove Towers building holds 99 residences in two- and three-bedroom layouts, with floor plans laid out across ten different configurations running from about 1,142 to 2,776 square feet. Most Grove Towers residences carry wraparound terraces, with east-facing units oriented toward Biscayne Bay and west-facing units looking back across the Coconut Grove tree canopy toward Coral Gables and downtown Miami. The Grove Towers floor plate is unusually flexible for a tower of this vintage, which is why the ten-plan mix carries through nearly every floor with minimal variation across the building. The Grove Towers site sits on the South Bayshore Drive ridge between the Yacht Harbour building at 2901 Bayshore and the Mutiny Park condo-hotel at 2889 McFarlane Road, in the cluster of mid-rise towers that ring CocoWalk. From the Grove Towers lobby, the Coconut Grove village center, Peacock Park, the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, and Dinner Key Marina are within walking distance. The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens sits about five minutes north along Bayshore, the Brickell financial district is ten minutes further, and Coral Gables, the University of Miami, and Miami International Airport are each within fifteen minutes. The Ritz-Carlton Residences and the new Mr. C towers sit just south of the property along the SW 27th Avenue and Tigertail corridors. Grove Towers amenities include a swimming pool, a fitness center, a community room, secured covered parking, and 24-hour security with concierge service. The two- and three-bedroom floor plate, combined with a Coconut Grove village location, has positioned Grove Towers as a long-stay residential building rather than a short-term or pied-a-terre product. The 1982 vintage of the Grove Towers tower means many units have been remodeled, with updated kitchens, hurricane-impact glass, open-plan reconfigurations, and refreshed bathrooms sitting inside the original concrete-frame shell. The 99-unit count keeps Grove Towers in the lower-density category of South Bayshore Drive high-rises despite the building's full height.
