Yacht Club at Portofino · #2004

Yacht Club at Portofino rises 34 stories at 90 Alton Road on the western bayfront edge of South of Fifth. Completed in 1999, the building was developed by The Related Group as part of the larger Portofino master plan that also produced Murano at Portofino and Murano Grande on adjacent parcels along the Miami Beach Marina. Yacht Club at Portofino contains roughly 361 residences across one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, with floor-to-ceiling glass, open European kitchens, in-unit washer/dryers, and private balconies oriented to Biscayne Bay, Star Island, Hibiscus Island, Palm Island, and the downtown Miami skyline. The tower sits directly on the Miami Beach Marina, with slips immediately adjacent to the building and direct connection to the SoFi bay walk that runs north-south through the neighborhood. The SoFi location at Yacht Club at Portofino offers a hard split between the bay walk on the west and the South of Fifth restaurant grid two blocks east, with the Murano towers, Continuum, and Apogee buildings rounding out the immediate neighborhood. Joe's Stone Crab, Prime 112, Milos, the Smith & Wollensky terrace overlooking Government Cut, and South Pointe Park are within five-minute walking distance. The MacArthur Causeway entrance is one block north, putting Brickell, Brickell City Centre, Mary Brickell Village, and the Mandarin Oriental Brickell Key within a 10-minute drive, and Fisher Island ferry sits roughly half a mile south at the MacArthur terminal. Star Island and the Venetian Islands chain are visible directly across the bay from the higher-floor west-facing residences at Yacht Club at Portofino. Amenities at Yacht Club at Portofino include a bayfront heated swimming pool and sun deck with cabana service, direct Miami Beach Marina access with available boat slips through the marina's broker, two lighted Har-Tru tennis courts, a full fitness center on the second floor with cardio and free-weight equipment, a spa with sauna and steam, a business center with conference room, a residents' lounge and party room, the on-site La Piaggia Beach Club restaurant, 24-hour concierge, valet, gated entry, and round-the-clock security. The building runs a high-velocity rental and resale program tied to the Portofino-network buildings, and Yacht Club at Portofino remains one of the most-traded buildings in SoFi by transaction count.
