Uptown Marina Lofts · #919

Uptown Marina Lofts is an 11-story condominium at 3029 NE 188th Street in Aventura, developed by Shefaor Development and designed by Miami architect Kobi Karp. Completed in 2006, the Uptown Marina Lofts building contains 216 residences in one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts configured as urban-style lofts. Each residence at Uptown Marina Lofts features 11-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass, Italian wood cabinetry, in-residence washers and dryers, modern kitchens with stone counters, and private balconies oriented toward the Intracoastal Waterway or the surrounding Aventura skyline. The loft-style configuration, the higher ceilings than typical Aventura tower product, and the open floor plates distinguish the building from the conventional condominium inventory in the submarket. The 188th Street address at Uptown Marina Lofts sits within the Aventura submarket between Aventura Mall, the Aventura Hospital corridor, and the Intracoastal Waterway, with the Brightline Aventura station and the Aventura ParkSquare mixed-use district within easy walking distance. The Aventura Mall - one of the largest shopping centers in the country with Apple, Tesla, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, and Equinox - sits a few blocks west, and ParkSquare adds restaurants, retail, the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center, and additional residential at a pedestrian scale. Bal Harbour Shops, Sunny Isles Beach, and Haulover Park sit minutes east across the William Lehman Causeway, and Williams Island and the Waterways shopping center are short drives north. Echo Aventura, the Carlos Ott / Yabu Pushelberg twin-tower development, is a direct neighbor on the same Intracoastal stretch, and Privé at Island Estates is a short drive further north on its private island. The Uptown Marina Lofts amenity slate includes a private 29-slip Nautical Club marina with waterfront cabanas, an infinity-edge pool with an adjacent Tiki bar, a basketball court, a tennis court, a fitness center with steam and sauna rooms, a residents lounge room, a business center, and a 24/7 front desk with valet parking and concierge service. The combination of the loft-style residential layouts, the on-site 29-slip marina, the walking-distance Brightline access, and the Tiki bar and cabana-style pool deck gives Uptown Marina Lofts a more relaxed coastal profile than the conventional luxury tower product in central Aventura, and the building has a steady draw from boaters, downtown commuters using the Brightline, and Aventura Hospital staff. The mid-rise scale also keeps building density low relative to the Williams Island towers and Aventura ParkSquare directly across the water.
