The Palace · #C1008

The Palace on Brickell is a 40-story bayfront condominium at 1541 Brickell Avenue, completed in 1981 and designed by Arquitectonica in one of the firm's first major Miami commissions. Developed by Franyie Engineers, Inc. (with Harry B. Helmsley also credited in some accounts), The Palace holds 254 residences across one- through four-bedroom layouts plus townhomes and penthouses -- a deeper inventory mix than most of the buildings that have gone up around it in the four decades since. The Palace was one of the earliest high-rise residential towers on Brickell Avenue and helped set the template for the dense bayfront block that followed. The 1541 Brickell address sits in the middle stretch of Brickell Avenue, walkable to Brickell City Centre, Mary Brickell Village, the Brickell Metromover stations and the dining strip along South Miami Avenue that includes Komodo, Sexy Fish, Cantina La Veinte and Casa Tua Cucina. The Underline linear park runs along the elevated Metrorail tracks to the west, Simpson Park hammock is a short walk south, and Bayfront Park, the KASEYA Center and Miami Worldcenter sit a short drive north across the Miami River. The Rickenbacker Causeway and the bridge across to Brickell Key are within a 5-minute drive. The Palace's amenity program reflects the building's family-oriented Brickell positioning. Residents share an oversized bayfront pool deck with a heated pool and a separate kids' pool, lighted tennis courts, a fitness center, a children's playroom, a sauna, a club room and a private bayfront promenade. The Palace maintains 24-hour security, concierge, valet and covered parking. Floor plans inside are unusually generous for Brickell -- many two- and three-bedroom Palace residences exceed 1,800 square feet, and the townhome floor plans on the lower floors include private terraces and direct lobby access. The combination of large floor plans, lighted tennis and a true bayfront pool deck keeps The Palace on Brickell in steady demand four decades after delivery.
