Charter Club · #1423

Charter Club is a 22-story bayfront condominium at 600 NE 36th Street in Edgewater, Miami, completed in 1973 and one of the longest-standing residential buildings on the Edgewater shoreline. The complex contains 445 condo residences across one- and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from 757 to 1,850 square feet, a size band that runs wider than most newer Edgewater buildings and accommodates both compact pieds-à-terre and family-sized homes. Each unit at Charter Club features a private balcony, with the higher floors oriented toward direct Biscayne Bay views and the lower floors covering the bayfront pool deck and the Miami skyline. Charter Club passed its 40-year recertification and completed more than $7 million in renovations covering common areas, roofing, and life-safety systems. The 36th Street address places Charter Club in the northern half of Edgewater, near the southern edge of the Miami Design District and within walking distance of Midtown Miami's retail concentration. The Design District's luxury retail row is about half a mile north along NE 2nd Avenue, Wynwood's galleries and breweries are a short ride west, and South Beach is roughly 10 minutes east across the Julia Tuttle Causeway. Brickell and downtown sit 15 minutes south, and Miami International Airport is reached in about 18 minutes via the 195 connector. The block carries a Walk Score of 82, which is high for a bayfront parcel. Charter Club's amenity package runs deeper than most buildings of its vintage. Residents have access to a bayfront pool with poolside cabanas, a jacuzzi, a barbecue and picnic area, two tennis courts, a half-court basketball area, a clubhouse, a fitness center, a racquetball court, a hair salon, a dry cleaner, and a convenience store, supported by ample guest parking. HOA dues include high-speed internet, cable TV, water, sewer, trash removal, and use of all amenities, a bundle that pulls Charter Club's monthly carry below comparable mid-vintage bayfront buildings on the Edgewater shoreline.
