2000 Williams Island · #PH9

2000 Williams Island rises 31 stories at 2000 Island Boulevard in Aventura, a Trump Group development designed by Robert M. Swedroe that delivered in 1995 on the private 84-acre Williams Island campus. The Trump Group, run by Eddie, Jules, and Stephanie Trump (no relation to Donald Trump) and partnered with Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company on the original Williams Island master plan, built 2000 Williams Island as one of several luxury towers on the island. The development sits behind a guarded bridge that controls vehicle access to the entire campus. Swedroe's program at 2000 Williams Island ran parallel to his work at Gables Club Tower I and several Bal Harbour towers, and the floor plates carry the wide-balcony, oversized-primary-suite signature he used across the high-end Florida condo market in the 1990s. Williams Island spans 84 acres in Aventura's Intracoastal Waterway, accessed through a controlled-entry bridge from West Country Club Drive. The island carries a private beach club, a 27,000-square-foot spa, sixteen tennis courts (Williams Island has hosted ATP-grade tennis programming under coach Nick Bollettieri's program), a fitness center, a deep-water marina with slips for vessels into the 100-foot range, the Island Club restaurant, and full security operations. Aventura Mall sits five minutes west across Biscayne Boulevard, Bal Harbour Shops are about ten minutes south, and Sunny Isles Beach is a five-minute drive east across the Lehman Causeway. The Turnberry Isle resort, the Aventura Country Club, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport all sit within a fifteen-minute drive of the Williams Island gates. The 2000 Williams Island tower carries large residences with private balconies, water and skyline exposures, and the Robert M. Swedroe-designed floor plates that put primary suites and entertaining spaces along the water-facing facade. Owners at 2000 Tower Williams Island pull from the full Williams Island Country Club amenity slate, including the tennis center, beach club, spa, marina, and dining operations, plus 24-hour security, valet, concierge, and the gated-island operating model that has defined the property since the 1990s. The campus environment makes the building function more like a master-planned community than a stand-alone condo, with the Williams Island 2000 building working alongside the 7000, Bellini, and Mediterranean Village components on the same island.
