Spiaggia · #1008

Spiaggia is a 12-story boutique oceanfront condominium at 9499 Collins Avenue in Surfside, originally completed in 1965 on the site of the former Beeckman Hotel and fully renovated in 2005 by developer Collins Ave Leasing LLC. The 2005 renovation added an additional floor housing eight two-level penthouse suites and brought the building to its current configuration of 104 residences across studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom layouts spanning roughly 601 to 3,056 interior square feet. Units at Spiaggia feature KitchenAid stainless appliances, bamboo wood flooring with marble accents, primary baths with marble countertops and Jacuzzi tubs, surround-sound-ready wiring, and private terraces -- many of which capture direct Atlantic Ocean views. The 9499 Collins Avenue address sits between Bal Harbour to the north and Miami Beach to the south, putting Spiaggia within a five-minute walk of Bal Harbour Shops -- the open-air luxury retail district anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus -- and one block from Surfside's Harding Avenue commercial spine. Publix grocery, the Surfside Community Center, the Surfside tennis center, North Shore Open Space Park, and Harding Avenue's kosher restaurants and cafes are all walking distance, while the restored Surfside boardwalk runs directly behind the property and connects north through Bal Harbour to Haulover Park and south through Mid-Beach. Spiaggia's amenity package emphasizes resort-style beachfront living scaled to its 104-unit footprint: a heated oceanfront lap pool with poolside cabanas, dedicated private beach service with chair and umbrella attendants, a Jacuzzi and sauna, a fitness center, a rooftop terrace, and a clubroom with a state-of-the-art entertainment system. Service at Spiaggia includes a 24-hour concierge desk, 24-hour valet parking, an attended lobby, secured elevator access, and round-the-clock security, plus a parking garage lift system installed during the 2005 renovation to optimize space. The combination of full renovation, direct beach access, walkable village location, and an accessible price point relative to newer ultra-luxury Surfside towers continues to make Spiaggia one of the most active mid-tier oceanfront buildings in Surfside.
