Maison Grande · #1625

Maison Grande is an 18-story oceanfront condominium at 6039 Collins Avenue in Mid-Beach, Miami Beach, near 60th Street at the northern end of Millionaire's Row. Completed in 1971, it is one of the largest condominiums on this stretch of Collins, with 501 residential units recorded under Maison Grande Condo by the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser. The tower faces the Atlantic on the east and Indian Creek and Biscayne Bay on the west. Maison Grande condos are mostly one- and two-bedroom homes with generous floor plans for the price point. MLS records show one-bedrooms from about 825 to 1,290 square feet, two-bedrooms from about 1,010 to 1,667 square feet and three-bedroom layouts from about 1,290 to 1,605 square feet, with a small number of larger combined units. Listings describe foyers, rounded living rooms, split two-bedroom plans with en-suite baths, large balconies and walk-in closets, and renovated units with stainless steel appliances, granite counters and in-unit washers and dryers. Ocean-facing lines look over the beach, while west-facing units take in Indian Creek, the bay and the Miami skyline. Residents have a pool and spa, a sauna, an exercise room, billiards and card rooms, a community room, a children's play area and barbecue areas, plus an on-site mini market, laundry rooms on each floor and storage for paddleboards and kayaks. Direct beach access, beach service, 24-hour security and a covered garage with valet parking round out the services; many units include an assigned parking space. MLS records list the building as not allowing pets and permitting one lease per year. The building sits on the ocean side of Collins Avenue a few blocks south of Allison Park and 63rd Street, with Indian Creek across the road and the La Gorce neighborhood beyond it. North Beach and the 71st Street shopping and dining district are about a mile north, and the Fontainebleau and the 41st Street corridor are a short drive south. For buyers comparing Mid-Beach condos and Miami Beach oceanfront condos, it offers beachfront living at a lower price per square foot than most newer towers nearby. Maison Grande drew attention in 2021, when WSVN and Local 10 reported on garage concrete repairs and a pool that had been closed since 2019 because it was leaking into the garage below; the association said a 2014 engineer's report found the building structurally sound and the city had recertified it in 2015, and itemized estimates sent to owners included about $1.8 million for new pool-deck pavers and waterproofing. Recent listings describe ongoing renovation work, including a new pool and deck, and some sellers have offered to pay special assessments at closing, so buyers should confirm the status of current assessments. As of October 2026, MLS shows 10 Maison Grande condos for sale asking about $385,000 to $750,000 and 17 for rent at about $2,875 to $4,500 a month, and closed sales over the prior 12 months had a median of about $433 per square foot.
