Cloisters on the Bay

Cloisters on the Bay is a gated bayfront enclave of 40 tri-level townhomes at 3471 Main Highway in Coconut Grove. Completed in the early-2000s window with the principal phase delivering around 2002 to 2005, the Cloisters on the Bay community sits behind a guarded gatehouse with units ranging from roughly 4,500 to 7,900 square feet and floor plans configured in three- to five-bedroom layouts. Every Cloisters on the Bay townhome carries a private elevator, an attached two-car garage, and a private rooftop terrace, several of which include built-in hot tubs and outdoor kitchens. The Cloisters on the Bay grounds run along Biscayne Bay with private docks and direct water frontage at the southern end of the parcel. The Cloisters site occupies a long bayfront parcel where Main Highway meets the southern edge of Coconut Grove's historic village, just past the Barnacle Historic State Park and the Coconut Grove Playhouse. Within walking distance are Peacock Park, CocoWalk, the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, and Dinner Key Marina, and a short drive carries owners to the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Mercy Hospital, and the Ritz-Carlton Residences corridor along SW 27th Avenue. Coral Gables and the University of Miami each sit about ten minutes inland, with Brickell and downtown Miami about fifteen minutes north along South Bayshore Drive and South Miami Avenue. Miami International Airport is roughly twenty minutes northwest along Le Jeune Road. Cloisters on the Bay amenities reflect the low-density, single-family scale of the property. Shared features at Cloisters on the Bay include a clubhouse, a bayfront pool, tennis courts, a fitness room, a children's play area, private docks, landscaped park space, and 24-hour gated security with a manned gatehouse. Inside the units, Cloisters townhomes feature private elevators, gourmet kitchens, large primary suites with bay-view terraces, and rooftop terraces sized for outdoor entertaining. The combination of a 40-unit floor plate, an attached garage in every home, and a bayfront orientation has positioned Cloisters on the Bay as a townhome alternative to the high-rise inventory along South Bayshore Drive.
