Eden Roc

Eden Roc anchors a stretch of Mid-Beach at 4525 Collins Avenue that helped define mid-century Miami. Morris Lapidus completed the original resort in 1956 for hotelier Harry Mufson, designing a more formal, restrained composition than the sweeping Fontainebleau he had finished next door a year earlier. The property today operates as a hospitality-led address with 621 rooms, including 96 suites, that share oceanfront grounds with residential buyers drawn to the Lapidus-era architecture and the Nobu Hotel Miami Beach component layered into the complex during the 2008 renovation. Lapidus designed the original lobby, grand staircase, Pompeii Ballroom, and Cafe Pompeii dining room as a single sequence of curved walls, sculptural columns, and terrazzo floors that the renovation team preserved while adding contemporary hospitality logistics behind the public spaces. The Mid-Beach setting reaches roughly from 24th to 63rd Street along Collins Avenue and has been reshaped by the Faena District a few blocks south, the Soho Beach House at 4385 Collins, and the boutique Edition just north of the Eden Roc parcel. Indian Creek runs along the back of the property, giving the building dual frontage on the Atlantic and the waterway, and the neighborhood pulls a quieter, design-driven crowd than South Beach. Lincoln Road sits about 20 blocks south by car, the Bal Harbour Shops are roughly four miles north on Collins, and the Mid-Beach beachwalk passes directly behind the property. The 41st Street commercial strip three blocks west carries the Mid-Beach grocery and pharmacy footprint, and the Mount Sinai Medical Center campus sits at the western end of that block. Residential occupants at Eden Roc Miami Beach access the resort's oceanfront pool deck, the Esencia Spa, a fitness center, and a roster of on-site restaurants including the Nobu outpost and Malibu Farm. Daily hospitality logistics run through hotel-level concierge, valet, and security staff, with cabanas, beach attendants, and Lapidus-designed public spaces such as the curved lobby and grand staircase still in active use. Owners at Eden Roc tap a building that functions as both a working hotel and a piece of preserved MiMo architecture rather than a conventional condominium product, with rental programs run through the Eden Roc Hotel reservation engine for owners who release their unit into the hospitality pool.
