The Ritz-Carlton Residences, North Bay Village · #7F

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, North Bay Village brings the Ritz-Carlton name to Harbor Island with two 43-story towers rising roughly 500 feet over Biscayne Bay, a partnership between Miami's Related Group and New York's Macklowe Properties on Harry Macklowe's first South Florida project. Designed by Arquitectonica, the firm led by Bernardo Fort-Brescia, the development assembles more than 4.1 acres of waterfront once occupied by the Biscayne Sea Club co-op and the Majestic Isle condominium, replacing them with 364 luxury residences served by Ritz-Carlton hospitality, concierge, and resident services. The site sits at 8000 and 7946 East Drive in North Bay Village, the cluster of bay islands on the 79th Street Causeway that links Miami's mainland to Miami Beach. The signature draw here is the water. A 42-slip private marina gives owners direct deep-water access to Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic, while a 9,000-square-foot public waterfront park and promenade open the bay edge to pedestrians. Plans call for nearly 800 parking spaces, roughly two per residence, an unusually generous ratio for a luxury waterfront tower. Resident amenities are positioned around wellness and the bayfront setting, with spa and fitness facilities, resort-style pool decks, and five-star concierge, valet, and security delivered to Ritz-Carlton standards. Residences are planned with floor-to-ceiling glass, expansive private terraces, and open bay and skyline views from a low-density island parcel. North Bay Village itself is in the middle of a redevelopment wave that is reshaping the once-sleepy mid-century enclave into one of Greater Miami's next luxury waterfront markets. Neighboring projects include the Continuum Company's bayfront tower and a large Sunbeam Properties mixed-use plan along the causeway, all built around walkable promenades, upgraded marinas, and waterfront dining. The island location places residents minutes from South Beach to the east and Downtown Miami, Edgewater, and the Design District to the west, with Miami International Airport a short drive across the causeways. For buyers who want a branded, full-service residence with a private slip and protected bay frontage outside the density of Brickell or Sunny Isles, this is a rare ground-up opportunity on the bay. Pricing, floor plans, bedroom mix, and delivery timeline had not been officially released as of the project's North Bay Village approval; figures will be confirmed at sales launch.
