The Setai is a 40-story ultra-luxury oceanfront condominium and hotel tower at 101 20th Street, anchoring the quieter, upper edge of the Miami Beach Art Deco Historic District directly on the Atlantic. The 2004 development by Jonathan J. Breene and Amanresorts founder Adriaan Zecha through Setai Group LLC pairs a preserved 1937 Henry Hohauser Art Deco hotel (the former Dempsey-Vanderbilt) with a bronze and granite tower designed by Carlos Prio-Touzet and Jacqueline Gonzalez Touzet of Touzet Studio. The Setai delivers 175 residences across studios, one- to four-bedroom plans, two-story townhomes, and penthouses from roughly 847 to 6,151 square feet, with signature penthouses spanning about 6,000 interior square feet plus terraces and private lap pools. The Setai's Asian Art Deco aesthetic was developed with interior designer Jaya Pratomo Ibrahim in collaboration with architect Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston International, using teak, bronze, leather, tropical timber, and mother-of-pearl through the public spaces and an iconic two-story bronze and teak lobby. The Collins Avenue site sits steps from Lummus Park, Ocean Drive, Espanola Way, Collins Park, the Bass Museum of Art, and Lincoln Road Mall, with the Faena District just to the north and Sunset Harbour and South of Fifth in walking range to the south. The Setai received the AAA Five Diamond rating in September 2024, holds Forbes Five-Star status across more than a decade, and earned Two Michelin Keys, making it the only Miami Beach property to hold all three distinctions simultaneously. Setai residences feature minimalist Asian-inspired interiors with floor-to-ceiling impact glass, custom teak cabinetry, black granite countertops, top-line appliances, and private balconies framing the ocean. Service tracks the operating standard of The Setai Hotel: three temperature-controlled infinity pools (cool, warm, and hot) terraced toward the Atlantic, full-service beachfront with daybeds and cabanas, the Valmont spa with private treatment suites, an in-residence spa program, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and Clefs d'Or 24-hour concierge with 24-hour valet, in-residence dining, and housekeeping.
