Isola is a 23-story bayfront condominium at 770 Claughton Island Drive on Brickell Key, completed in 1990 by Swire Properties with architecture by J. Scott Architecture. The building delivered approximately 300 residences across one- and two-bedroom floor plans, with terraced balconies, floor-to-ceiling sliders in many homes, and views that take in Biscayne Bay, the Miami River, and the downtown Miami skyline depending on the unit's exposure. Because of the unit-size range and the island setting, Isola tends to draw a mix of full-time owners and long-term renters who want the gated environment with smaller-floor-plan inventory than Carbonell or Asia, and the building's price-per-square-foot positioning has historically been one of the more accessible entry points to the Brickell Key island.
