Point of Americas · #2010

Point of Americas is a twin-tower oceanfront condominium community at 2100 and 2200 S Ocean Lane in Fort Lauderdale, with Tower I completed in 1968 and Tower II completed in 1971 at the entrance to Port Everglades. The two Point of Americas towers hold a combined 287 residences across studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, with many units extensively renovated over the past two decades. Floor plans run from roughly 600 to over 2,500 square feet, and renovated residences feature open kitchens with stone counters, stainless appliances, porcelain or wood flooring, deep balconies, and floor-to-ceiling sliders. The Point of Americas buildings offer panoramic exposures of the Atlantic, the Intracoastal Waterway, the Port Everglades shipping channel, and the downtown Fort Lauderdale skyline. The Point of Americas site sits on a 10-acre guard-gated peninsula in the Harbor Inlet neighborhood, on the widest stretch of Fort Lauderdale Beach at the southernmost end of A1A. Cruise-ship watching from the upper floors is a signature draw because the Port Everglades channel runs directly past the property and carries traffic from Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Holland America ports. Las Olas Boulevard and the Riverwalk are about ten minutes north, the Bahia Mar marina and the Fort Lauderdale Beach Boardwalk are five minutes away, the historic Bonnet House Museum and Gardens sits ten minutes north, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is five minutes south. The Hugh Taylor Birch State Park beach access sits a short drive north on A1A. Point of Americas residents share two heated oceanfront pools, an on-site restaurant, a fitness center, lighted tennis courts, beach cabanas, an oceanfront barbecue area, and 24-hour guard-gated entry with security. The Point of Americas community also offers garage parking, guest suites for visiting family, on-site management, and a private 200-foot beach. The gated peninsula configuration keeps the property quieter than the larger Fort Lauderdale Beach condo towers a mile north, and the wide beach in front of the buildings is one of the most expansive on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The community runs its own restaurant and bar and a beach service program with chairs and umbrellas.
