The Berkeley introduces a new standard of waterfront living in West Palm Beach. Developed by Al Adelson of The Bristol, and designed by Arquitectonica, the building blends architectural presence with calm, light-filled interiors. Residences are thoughtfully designed with expansive floorplans, generous terraces, and a range of water, skyline, and city views depending on residence and floor level. With estate-scale living, uncompromised privacy, and an irreplaceable waterfront location moments from downtown, The Berkeley offers a rare opportunity in one of South Florida's most dynamic luxury markets.
The Berkeley Palm Beach is a 25-story condominium tower at 550 South Australian Avenue in West Palm Beach, on a 1.92-acre site facing Clear Lake directly west of Rosemary Square, formerly CityPlace. It is developed by Australian Property Group, led by Al Adelson, the developer of The Bristol, in partnership with Sympatico Real Estate, and designed by Arquitectonica, with John Moriarty & Associates as general contractor. The tower holds 193 residences of about 1,700 to 5,000 square feet, including eight penthouses. Many are east-to-west flow-through layouts with sunrise and sunset exposures and private terraces, and some add a flex room for an office, library or media room. Kitchens are by Italian maker Snaidero with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and listed residences include private elevator entry. Homes above the 15th floor are planned with views of both Clear Lake to the west and the Intracoastal and Atlantic to the east. Amenities are split between two levels. The seventh floor has a family pool, spa, fitness center, teen lounge and children's play area, and the rooftop adds an adults-only pool, a private dining room and a cigar lounge. Wellness studios, a golf simulator, indoor lounges, a gourmet resident market, full-time concierge and valet service round out the program. The Kravis Center, the Cleveland Clinic and the planned Vanderbilt University graduate campus are nearby, and Australian Avenue connects the site to Palm Beach Island. Adelson's team assembled the site for $13.8 million in 2021 and 2022. After a ceremonial groundbreaking in December 2024, full construction was under way by July 2026, when the developer reported more than $120 million in sales, prices from about $2.5 million to more than $12 million and completion anticipated in 2029.
