The Plaza of the Palm Beaches, legally The Plaza, is a pair of 32-story condominium towers at 525 South Flagler Drive on the Intracoastal Waterway in downtown West Palm Beach. Armour Guider Development Corporation, a venture of Robert Armour and Michael Guider, built the towers on a 3.4-acre site to designs by Schwab & Twitty Architects, and they opened in October 1985. The two towers hold about 221 residences. Recent listings are mostly two- and three-bedroom homes of about 1,900 to 2,100 square feet, including east-to-west flow-through residences with floor-to-ceiling glass and views across the Intracoastal to Palm Beach and the Atlantic on one side and the downtown skyline on the other. The Plaza is a full-service building with a 24-hour staffed gate and lobby, concierge, doormen and valet parking. Amenities include two heated pools with a whirlpool, cabanas and a barbecue area, tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness room, a conference room and a mezzanine lounge, with a resident social calendar that has included yoga and aqua classes. A roughly $6 million renovation updated the roof, balconies, lobby and pools. The towers face the downtown waterfront along Flagler Drive, close to downtown West Palm Beach's restaurants and the bridges to Palm Beach. The building's history is unusual. After a 1986 foreclosure, Donald Trump bought the property for about $40 million, renovated it and renamed it Trump Plaza of the Palm Beaches; unsold units were auctioned in 1990 and 1991, and residents voted in 2021 to restore the original name. Recent sales have ranged from about $1.4 million to $3.6 million. Request current resale availability and recent sales through the building page.
