The Plaza Coral Gables is a seven-acre, 2.25 million-square-foot mixed-use development at 2801 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, the second US project from Agave Holdings (the development arm of the Becle / Jose Cuervo company) and the largest single development in Coral Gables history. CallisonRTKL serves as design architect, and Coastal Construction handled construction management on the campus. The Plaza Coral Gables site spans three city blocks facing Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Ponce Circle Park and combines residential condominiums above curated retail and dining, more than two million square feet of Class A office space, a 242-key hotel, and roughly 2,050 parking spaces controlled by intelligent parking systems with five valet stations. The Plaza address sits two blocks from Coral Gables' Miracle Mile, four blocks from Giralda Plaza's restaurant row including Bulla Gastrobar and Threefold Cafe, and within walking distance of the Coral Gables Trolley network. The Village of Merrick Park luxury shopping center anchored by Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus is roughly half a mile south, the University of Miami campus sits a mile further along US-1, and Brickell and Miami International Airport are 10 to 15 minutes by car via the Dolphin Expressway. The Plaza Coral Gables is one of the largest concentrations of new Class A office in the Coral Gables central business district and brings expanded dining and retail to the Ponce Circle Park frontage. Miami International Airport is roughly 12 minutes north via Le Jeune Road, and PortMiami is 20 minutes east. The Plaza Coral Gables residences offer 10-foot ceilings, European kitchens, and premium finishes, with a rooftop pool deck, fitness center, residents lounge, and concierge services. The colonnaded sidewalks, shaded street trees, and water features along the Ponce de Leon frontage at Plaza Coral Gables are designed to integrate the development into the pedestrian-scale character of central Coral Gables, with concerts, art, and cultural programming planned for the public plazas. The Agave Holdings campus also functions as one of the few new development sites in Coral Gables that combines residential, hotel, and office on a single block, an unusual configuration in the historically zoned Coral Gables business district.
