La Gorce Palace

La Gorce Palace is a 34-story, 208-unit oceanfront condominium completed in 1995 at 6301 Collins Avenue in the Mid-Beach corridor of Miami Beach. (Note: this building is grouped under the Brickell slug in this directory, but La Gorce Palace physically sits on the Atlantic Ocean in Miami Beach 33141, just north of the La Gorce Country Club and several miles from Brickell Avenue.) The La Gorce Palace tower was developed by Groupe Pacific and designed by architect Kobi Karp, with interiors by Brazilian design house Artefacto. La Gorce Palace residences are arranged as one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts running roughly 940 to 1,700 interior square feet, with 9-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling impact glass, marble bathroom floors, double vanities, Roman tubs with separate showers, European-style kitchens with granite counters, in-unit washers and dryers, and private balconies with glass railings overlooking the Atlantic. La Gorce Palace has remained one of the most established full-service addresses on the Mid-Beach oceanfront for three decades. The 6301 Collins Avenue site sits on the barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Creek, directly across the canal from the La Gorce Country Club and its private golf course. North Beach restaurants and shops along 71st Street and Collins Avenue are walking distance, while South Beach's Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, and Sunset Harbour are roughly 10 minutes south by car. The La Gorce Palace neighborhood is dramatically different from Brickell, the Financial District, Brickell City Centre, or Mary Brickell Village: where Brickell is a high-rise banking core, Mid-Beach is a quieter beachfront stretch dominated by 1990s and 2000s residential towers, the Faena District, and a handful of older Morris Lapidus hotels. The MacArthur Causeway and Julia Tuttle Causeway connect La Gorce Palace residents to Brickell, Downtown Miami, the KASEYA Center, Bayfront Park, and the Miami Riverwalk in 15 to 20 minutes. Amenities at La Gorce Palace include direct beach access with beachside lounge chairs, an oceanfront sun deck with a pool and whirlpool, a covered BBQ area, a children's outdoor play area, a fitness center with an aerobics room, sauna and steam, a billiards club room, 24-hour concierge, and 24-hour security with valet parking.
