The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale is a 24-story oceanfront hotel and residence tower at 1 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, on Fort Lauderdale Beach just north of Las Olas Boulevard. Castillo Grand, LLC developed the tower, recorded as Castillo Grand Residences and Castillo Grand Hotel Residences, and Arquitectonica designed it, with hotel interiors by Hirsch Bedner. It opened in May 2007 as The St. Regis Fort Lauderdale, and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company took over management on August 11, 2008. Broward County property records list 62 residential units in two condominiums: 28 Private Residences on floors 18 through 24 and 34 condo-hotel units on floors 15 through 17. The Private Residences are the building's full-time homes, with their own residential lobby and elevators and full-time concierge and managers. County records count 15 two-bedroom, 10 three-bedroom and three four-bedroom residences, from about 1,664 to 9,273 square feet. Floors 18 and 19 hold seven or eight homes each and the floors above hold fewer, larger ones: residences 2101 and 2102 measure about 6,815 and 7,031 square feet and 2401 is a full-floor penthouse of about 9,273 square feet. Many corner plans look over both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, with private terraces and split-bedroom layouts. The condo-hotel units on floors 15 through 17 are smaller: MLS records show one-bedroom hotel residences of about 818 to 995 square feet, alongside a number of two- and three-bedroom units. Owners have access to the hotel's facilities: a 29,000-square-foot oceanfront sundeck with an infinity pool and private cabanas, the Sea la Vie Sundeck pool bar and grill, a spa of about 8,500 square feet with steam room, sauna and hair salon, a fitness center with Intracoastal views, and Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits, a restaurant, cafe, market and bar. The hotel has 25,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom for up to 380 guests. The tower sits at the center of Fort Lauderdale Beach, steps from the sand and the shops and restaurants along A1A and Las Olas Boulevard. The Las Olas Isles, downtown Fort Lauderdale and the Brightline station are a short drive west, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is about 7 miles away. The hotel has changed hands and been updated since opening. County records show the hotel component selling for $65.7 million in July 2013, and in 2015 a Carey Watermark Investors and Gencom joint venture bought a majority interest for a reported $45 million, then finished an $8 million renovation by Streetsense of the lobby, spa and restaurant. Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale condos for sale come up a few times a year. Among the Private Residences, 2401 sold for $6.85 million in 2009, 2004 for $4.8 million in 2021, 2001 for $4.7 million in 2022 and 2203 for $4.7 million in April 2026. This is a separate building from the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Fort Lauderdale Beach, announced for 551 Bayshore Drive. Request current availability and recent sales through the building page.
