1500 Ocean Drive

1500 Ocean Drive is a 16-story oceanfront condominium at 1500 Ocean Drive in South Beach, completed in 1998 by developer Constructa Inc. with architecture by postmodernist Michael Graves. The 1500 Ocean Drive tower delivers 112 residences across one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations with floor plans curving along the building's signature oceanfront massing. The 1500 Ocean Drive South Beach tower was the first Miami Beach condominium designed by a signature architect of Graves's international standing, integrating his postmodern color palette, geometric forms, oversized rotundas, and porthole-style detailing into the Ocean Drive skyline. Interiors at 1500 Ocean feature marble flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, European cabinetry, primary baths with marble surrounds, oversized walk-in closets, and private balconies with direct Atlantic views and northern exposures over Lummus Park. The 1500 Ocean Drive South Beach address sits midway between Lummus Park and the northern edge of the Art Deco District, with the SoBe Wine & Food Festival's traditional Lummus tents and the Beach Patrol Headquarters two blocks south. Joe's Stone Crab, Lincoln Road Mall, the Faena District, the Bass Museum of Art, and the New World Center are all within a fifteen-minute walk of the 1500 Ocean South Beach entrance, while Ocean Drive's restaurant and Art Deco hotel strip runs the length of the property's western frontage. Espanola Way, the Wolfsonian-FIU, and the Miami Beach Convention Center sit roughly seven blocks north, and Brickell and downtown Miami are fifteen minutes west across the MacArthur Causeway. Residents at 1500 Ocean Drive access an oceanfront pool deck with chaise and cabana service, a fitness center, a full spa with treatment rooms, a business center, a residents' lounge for private events, and 24-hour concierge, attended valet, and security. The 1500 Ocean Drive amenity program also includes climate-controlled storage, direct beach access through a controlled gate, dedicated bicycle storage, and a furnished sun deck oriented for sunrise over the Atlantic. The Michael Graves architecture, the Constructa development pedigree, and the central Ocean Drive location keep South Beach 1500 Ocean Drive one of the most architecturally distinctive condominiums on the entire Atlantic shore of Miami Beach.
