Welcome to The Berkeley, West Palm Beach's newest collection of distinct waterfront residences. Developed by Al Adelson who brought a new level of sophistication to the area with The Bristol, The Berkeley is similarly destined to be a cornerstone in the downtown skyline. Arquitectonica crafted a rhythmic facade and tranquil interiors to capture the reflective water, light and sky of the surroundings. Every residence will offer unobstructed water views. Conceived to meet a need in its growing market for a luxury product that lives like a single-family home, The Berkeley's valuable site provides several unique opportunities including a landmark location moments from city center, spectacular views, gracious living space and terraces, uncompromised privacy alongside world class amenities.
The Berkeley Palm Beach is a 25-story condominium tower at 550 South Australian Avenue in West Palm Beach, on a 1.92-acre site facing Clear Lake directly west of Rosemary Square, formerly CityPlace. It is developed by Australian Property Group, led by Al Adelson, the developer of The Bristol, in partnership with Sympatico Real Estate, and designed by Arquitectonica, with John Moriarty & Associates as general contractor. The tower holds 193 residences of about 1,700 to 5,000 square feet, including eight penthouses. Many are east-to-west flow-through layouts with sunrise and sunset exposures and private terraces, and some add a flex room for an office, library or media room. Kitchens are by Italian maker Snaidero with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and listed residences include private elevator entry. Homes above the 15th floor are planned with views of both Clear Lake to the west and the Intracoastal and Atlantic to the east. Amenities are split between two levels. The seventh floor has a family pool, spa, fitness center, teen lounge and children's play area, and the rooftop adds an adults-only pool, a private dining room and a cigar lounge. Wellness studios, a golf simulator, indoor lounges, a gourmet resident market, full-time concierge and valet service round out the program. The Kravis Center, the Cleveland Clinic and the planned Vanderbilt University graduate campus are nearby, and Australian Avenue leads directly to the bridge to Palm Beach. Adelson's team assembled the site for $13.8 million in 2021 and 2022 held a ceremonial groundbreaking in December 2024 and started vertical construction in July 2026. By October 2026 the developer reported about $125 million in sales, with prices from about $2.5 million to more than $12 million, and completion is expected in 2029.
